Good dance and Rez Dog was invited back to the big dance in May. That Rocks. See ya at LA's in May. February 10-13 Seminole Tribe of Florida- Hollywood, Fl Huge crowd on hand for this granddaddy of 'em all. Another Great location. Awesome weather. A nice way to start out the new year. We'll be back. February 29 2nd annual Circle of Nations Pow-Wow - Anaheim, CA Disneyland. Nothing like a pow-wow with Mickey & Friends! March 3-5 Yucaipa, CA Rain, rain, and more rain! Moved into the gym - it still rained - roof leaked on our booth. March 17-19 Denver March Pow-Wow - Denver, CO Nothing but the best every time! Thank you. March 25 OCU Spring Pow-Wow - OKC, OK Mary's Alma Mater. April 1 OSU Native American Student Association Spring Pow-wow - Stillwater, OK Good turn out! Everyone and their Rez Dog was there. Those Cowboys really know how to pow-wow. April 8 Washington University Pow- Wow - St. Louis, MO Fun town. We got to see Big Mac hit his #2 homerun of the year. Mary actually got away from Nashville for this weekend with "the dog". We've missed you out on the pow-wow highway. April 15 86th Annual, University of Oklahoma Contest Pow-wow Norman, OK Da Bomb!!!!!! Rez Dog's back in Norman - his old stomping grounds. I'll see you at The Deli on Campus Corner. April 21-23 14th Annual Arizona State University Spring Competition Pow-Wow - Tempe, AZ Excellent weather. We linked up with Johnny RedEagle and the crew from Native Style Car Club. Rez Dog is now the proud sponsor of this club. Keep up the great work, we're behind you all the way. Can't wait to see your ride all decked out in Rez Dog!!!!! We'll get some pics up on the site soon. April 28-29 Gathering of Nations - Albuquerque, NM We at Rez Dog Clothing Company do not endorse or support this pow-wow. There is no reason to have all of our people waiting in those huge lines for hours - and when you finally get to the door, they charge everyone $7. Not Rez Dog's idea of a good time. They wouldn't let the dog in the house to play - scared we would chew into their t-shirt sales! So we set up at the flea market. Thank you for coming out to support us there. I think we need to host an alternative pow-wow next year "Gathering of Rez Dogs" !!!!!!! May 5-6 Tulsa Blues Festival - Tulsa, OK Indigenous will be playing both nights @ 8:00pm. A weekend for Rez Dog to get the Blues and like it. Nothing like A little rain to help wash away the blues. Great show. Maybe someday Indigenous will wear Rez Dog. We threw a couple of T's on stage, hope they got'em. May 12-14 Haskell Indian Nations University - Lawrence, KS Annual Commencement and Graduation Pow-Wow Had a great time. My dad who is called "Old Dog" used to live at Haskell when he went to KU back in the 60's. Kind of a reunion of sorts. We even got a room where Wilt once stayed. (That's what the guy told us when we checked in. Bet he tells everyone that.) Scooted out of the 49 just in time. Thanks for the support Haskell. May 19-20 Second Annual Native American Music Festival - Mystic Lake Casino, Prior Lake, Minnesota Awesome show! Keep on rocking XIT. Everyone was great and we look forward to 2001. Rez Dog would like to thank Elaine Miles (Northern Exposure & Smoke Signals), Drew Lacapa (comedian) and Natay (Native Rap Artist) for wearing our Rez Dog T's at the Music Fest. You looked marvelous!!!! Rez Dog tore up the Twin Cities! Yeah, we'd be happy to make Prince his very own purple Rez Dog T! See ya next year Mystic Lake. May 27-28 Cass Lake, Minnesota Rain, Rain go away come again some other Pow-wow. The sun came out on Sunday of course. Turned into a beautiful day. Rez Dog will be back. Nothing like a steaming bowl of wild rice soup. June 2-4 1st Annual Four Winds Pow-Wow North Platte, NE Cancelled. Rez Dog's going to Nashville to hang with Mary. Woof!!! Ok, so Keith and Mary went cave exploring in Kentucky for the weekend. We rode horses, hiked, and had a wonderful rare weekend together. June 10 Good Medicine Society Pow-wow - Oklahoma City, OK @ the Kitchens of America Building on the OKC Fairgrounds. The bomb, as usual. Saw many old and dear friends at this one. Good Medicine is the best medicine! June 16-18 Creek Nation Festival - Okmulgee, Oklahoma Soggy, muddy, and wet. Friday was a beautiful day, though. Rez Dog was welcomed with open arms by the Creek Nation. Rez Dog & Little Dog sought shelter in the dog house on wheels. Thanks for the support Creek Country. June 16-18 Peoria Intertribal Pow-Wow - Quapaw, Oklahoma Old Dog got rained out - got let indoors. Good old fashioned, down home pow-wow. Great music, great people, great hospitality. Good job to our friend Charla & crew. June 21-25 Hinckley, MN Rez Dog & Little Dog set out for the northern woods. Good turn out. Enjoyed the pow-wow. June 23-25 Tulsa Pow-Wow Club - Tulsa, OK Convention Center in Downtown T-Town. Old Dog is being sent to represent. (This one's indoors and he be loving it!) OK dance. Probably be back. June 30-July 2 Pawnee 4th of July Celebration - Pawnee, Oklahoma AWESOME!! June 30-July 2 Quapaw Tribal Pow-wow - Quapaw, OK Cool place. Real friendly people. Rez Dog kicked butt!!! July 8-11 Sac & Fox Tribal Pow-wow (AKA Stroud Pow-wow) - Stroud, OK Not the Rat Pack, not the Brat Pack, but the Dog Pack gets back together for this one. Another good week. Hot days, cool nights. Same booth spot as last year. Thanks for the great location. See you next year. July 14-16 Otoe Encampment - Red Rock, OK Old Dog defends and marks his territory. It's a hot one! Nice to be set up where Rez Dog is incorporated. July 21-23 Julyamsh 2000 - Coeur d' Alene Tribal Encampment & Pow-wow - Post Falls, Idaho Rez Dog hooked up with his relations - Uncle Tomdog & Aunt Jenny. Had a terrific time. Thanks to all. Also kicked it with 1st cuz' Barneydog. Tom DeHaas is going to be selling Rez Dog shirts at other pow-wows in this part of the country. Check back for updates. July 28-30 Winnebago, Nebraska - Awesome location in the shade. Rez Dog kicked back and relaxed. Got a surprise visit from Old Dog. We will be back for sure next year. August 4-6 Ft. Yates Pow-wow & Rodeo Celebration - Ft. Yates, North Dakota Fun pow-wow! Nice to be back in Standing Rock. They have a cool radio station, KLND, and Rez Dog did an interview with the Jester of the Red Carnival Crew at the booth, and at the station on Tuesday night. Thanks for having the Dog in the house! Da bomb! True Rez Dog Radio! August 8-11 Sturgis Bike Rally - Sturgis, South Dakota Rez Dog invades Paha Sapa territory. Rez Dog does Sturgis "Doggy Style." First thing the dog saw, while walking down main street, was a Rez Dog "Custer Killer" T. A Lakota Bro from Seattle was representing Rez Dog. How cool is that. Now for a little Rez Dog trivia - Mary used to play keyboards and sing in a band, and when she was 19, she performed at this famous bike rally - dog collar and all! (Oh, our little Rez Dog in training!) WOOF! August 14-21 82nd Annual Crow Fair & Rodeo - Crow Agency, Montana Rez Dog family reunion (with one brother, four sisters and all of their kids) in the tipi capitol of the world. Little Dog got bit by the flu bug or was it a tick. All in all it was a super weekend! We sold out of numerous designs. So if you weren't able to get your favorite Rez Dog shirt in Montana, here's your chance to order it online. Rez Dog is now taking credit cards at the booth as well as online. This was one of our best pow-wows EVER. Thank you for all your business and support. We're in this together! August 24-27 Ponca Pow-wow, White Eagle, OK Rez Dog wanted to do this pow-wow, but they had a full house and they wouldn't let the Dog in da game. Doesn't hurt the Dog to have to sit on the porch and just look in the window. Needed a break anyway. So.... Rez Dog is taking this week off to go back to Nashville to see Mary, who's taking care of the office work. Old Dog is left to sit home chewing on a bone in the A/C. And little dog - well, it's back to school for you. September 1-2 Time to replenish supplies and gear up for Navajo Nation Fair. We look forward to seeing Perphelia Begay and friends. Stop by the booth and say "Hello." September 7-10 54th Annual Navajo Nation Fair - Window Rock, Arizona Awesome time! This thing was HUGE! Rez Dog & Little Dog were treated with much love by the Navajo Nation. Weather was good. Great booth location. Perphie and her crew put the "Rock" in Window Rock! We'll be back for sure. Rez Dog and Little Dog dream about feasting on some more Navajo burgers and tacos. Help take a bite out of mine! September 15-17 Schemitzun DID NOT MAKE IT! Good for dancers, good for singers, good for MC's, good for pow-wow committee, not good for the Dog. But....Congrats go out to Youngbird, World Southern Style Singing Champs/World Overall Singing Champs. All your hard work paid off. See a pic of Youngbird in our photos page. September 22-24 2000 Kickapoo Pow-wow - Horton, Kansas Most excellent! Candace and crew kicked butt! Rez Dog enjoyed kickin' it with the Kickapoo Nation. Rained a little, dance got moved to the gym, but it couldn't have worked out any better for the Dogs. Send in your "Rez Ride" pics. We sold a lot of window stickers. We'll be back. See ya in 2001, a Pow-wow Odyssey. September 29-30 7th Annual Standing Bear Pow-wow - Ponca City, OK Little Dog, Old Dog and K Dog sent to represent. Much Oklahoma inventory on hand for this one. Don't forget your $2 off coupons from the Oklahoma Indian Times. Saturday night check out the Black Hawk Blues Band at the VFW. Rez Dog is sponsoring some of these events this year. Woof Woof. October 6-8 14th Annual Black Hills Pow-wow & Art Expo - Rapid City, SD The Return of the Dog! Paha Sapa 2000! This was another great Pow-wow. Great turn out! Rez Dog was up in the clouds for this one. Literally! But our clouds had a silver lining. We were on the top level over looking the whole dance. It was a very good spot, but I think next year the dogs will try to get a little closer to mother earth! Thanks for all the support. Can't wait to get back. Look for our line at the "Prairies Edge" in the near future. Thanks again. October 13-15 Honor the Earth Tour - Lawrence, KS - Indigo Girls/Indigenous - Lied Center Rez Dog and Fitz Dog rocked out at this way cool show! Hooked up the band with some Rez Dog T's. Also got my pic with the band. Check it out here. October 20-22 NAIA 19th Annual Pow-wow & Fall Festival - Nashville, TN Looking good! Nice to be at a dance in our own back yard. The dogs don't have to take their collars off, if they don't want to. Nice to sleep in our own dog house for once. To answer the Question "Who let the dogs out?" That's easy. Rez Dog of course! October 28- November 1 NIEA 2000, 31st ANNUAL CONVENTION, Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux Falls Convention Center Expected only the best. We got the best! Sorry I missed you on Wednesday morning, but Rez Dog had to make sure Old Dog and Little Sis got out of town ok. They did. Had a great time in Sioux Falls. NIEA 2000 rocked. See everyone in Billings, MT next year. Thank you. November 11-12 San Carlos Veterans Day Pow-wow - San Carlos, AZ Rez Dog can't make this one. But the good thing is, David Reede will have Rez Dog shirts to sell at the Salton L. Reede Memorial Basketball Tournament. Give David some support and I hope to see everyone in the near future. November 13-17 NCAI Conference - St. Paul, MN Rez Dog - looking forward to a good time in the Twin Cities. The Rez Dog Crew wasn't let down. Definitely one of the best events of the year. Snowed a little, just enough to add to the ambience. The Pow-wow was the bomb. Rez Dog had a great booth location and will always remember this gig. Got a surprise visit from Old Dog from down south. Thanks! This Old Dog is the best dog. Made a lot of new friends hope to see everyone real soon. Maybe February 2001 in Washington D.C. - 2001 A Rez Dog Pow-wow Odyssey. November 17 Rez Dog is proud to sponsor Tahnee Marie Ahtone Harjo, as she competes in the Miss Indian USA pageant. Good luck Tahnee, go get 'em! Rez Dog is the first national American Indian corporation to sponsor a contestant in this pageant. All other contestants are sponsored by their tribes. December 6-10 Indian National Finals Rodeo - Albuquerque, NM Rez Dog December 15-17 Prairie Island Christmas Pow-wow - Welch, MN No dog sled, Rez Dog missed this one due to nasty weather. We were very much looking forward to it too. Sorry, but you can't mess around with Mother Nature. December 18- January 3 - A Rez Dog Christmas and New Years in North Dakota. We have to get ready for 2001 A Rez Dog Pow-wow Odyssey. Rez Dog will be moving the offices back to Red Rock, Oklahoma. We will update you soon on our new address.
