Pow-wow Tour Archive 1999 1999: SNAG & BRAG North American Pow-Wow Tour
August 2-8 68th American Indian Exposition, Indian City, USA, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Hot Hot Hot - but we'll be back. (Rez Dog's Founder, Mary's Birthday August 6th - a good time was had by all!!) August 13-15 Inter-Tribal Indian Club of Tulsa's Pow-wow of Champions located at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds, Tulsa, OK Awesome! A/C Rules! August 20-22 Shakopee Mdewankanton Dakota Community Pow-wow located near Prior Lake, MN Oh, man, we planned on making it, but they ran out of vendor space. (I bet they could have squeezed us in instead of one more Asian Nike/Tommy bootleg booth!!!!) We'll try again earlier next year. They really should have let a fellow Lakota/Dakota brother in. (Enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.) August 27-29 123rd Annual Ponca Tribal Pow-wow, White Eagle Park, White Eagle, Oklahoma Hot, but cool gig - Rez Dog will be back. September 3-5 Wee-Gitchie-Ne-Me-E-Dim Leech Lake, Labor Day Pow-wow in Cass Lake, MN Beautiful place. It rained a little, but Rez Dog will return. We shook off the cold like any Rez Dog would. September 9-12 United Tribes International Championship Pow-wow, Bismarck, ND Nice gig. Great family reunion. Rained here a little too, but not enough to keep Rez Dog on the porch. See ya next year. September 16-19 Schemitzun '99, Foxwoods Casino, Connecticut Hurricane Floyd - nuf said! Rez Dog is working on his dog paddle technique. September 24-26 Standing Bear Pow-wow, Ponca City, OK - Host Tribe, Pawnee Tribe of Oklahoma Slow gig, maybe next year, maybe not. October 1-3 The Sixth Grand Pow-wow, Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, Kinder, Louisiana Bugs, Bugs, Bugs. Good gig. Good weather. Good People. Bad Bugs. October 7-10 Black Hills Pow-wow, Rapid City, SD Totally rocked. Rez Dog had a great time at Paha Sapa '99. We'll be back for sure for sure!!!!! October 19 N.I.E.A Conference Pow-wow, Myriad Convention Center, OKC, OK Da Bomb! See ya in Sioux Falls next year. November 5-7 Lawton, Oklahoma Slow, but nice folks. November 12-14 Grove, Oklahoma All Good in Grove! November 18-21 Ft. McDowell Pow-wow, Ft. McDowell, AZ Cool Show and Great Weather. Not too Dusty. Look 4 us back on the Prowl at this bad boy. November 26-28 Indio Pow-wow, Cabazon Tribe of California, Indio, CA (Rez Dog's founder - Keith's Birthday, November 27th - give him some Love and props on his birthday spent on the road) December 1-3 Ft. McDowell, AZ Great Time, thanks Nina and Larrane for the hospitality you showed. December 4 Gallop, NM Cold and Chilly. Good people, Good food, Good time had by all. December 5 Albuquerque, NM Most excellent. Always love Albuquerque. December 17-19 Prairie Island Christmas Pow-wow, Welch, MN Snow is in the forecast. Need I say more. Cold but, good turnout. A little bad weather's not going to keep this Rez Dog at home. December 22-28 Christmas Holiday - Ft. Yates, ND and Minot, ND Nice time back at the homestead. Always enjoy being with our families.
