So many of you have written in requesting to see more of
our models from 2003, 2004, 2005.
So, due to popular demand, we have honored your requests
and done something a little different this year with our calendar.
Each page is filled with fun collages of all three photos
shoots - Lake Tahoe, Grand Lake, Colorado, and Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin.

Cover Model –
Lynsay Tomow
Lynsay Tomow is a member of the great Menominee Nation and
was born and raised in
Keshena,
Wisconsin
. Her Indian name is Kenialhew Eagle Woman. In school Lynsay was active in
volleyball, basketball and softball and is a former Miss Menominee and Menominee
Veterans Princess. Lynsay is currently stationed in
Florida
where she is a part of the U.S. Air Force. Lynsay is a champion fancy shawl
dancer and enjoys beading, sports and modeling in her spare time.
January – Shan
Redhouse-Baldwin – Navajo Nation
Shan Redhouse-Baldwin is a Navajo from
Monument Valley
,
Utah. Shan’s dedication to her school and family has kept her extremely
busy. Currently she is nearing completion to earning a bachelor's degree
in journalism and has accepted an internship with a local news station in
Tucson
. Shan has experienced life as a model/actress and is signed with a well-known
agency. However Shans' proudest accomplishment is her adorable 9-year-old son
and her marriage of 9 years. Shan lives life to the fullest with her family
by her side. She believes her traditional values keep her the headstrong
woman she is today.
February –
Nikki Palmer – Kiowa, Muscogee
Creek
Nikki Palmer is Kiowa and Muscogee Creek and is a member of
the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She was born and raised in
Arkansas City
,
Kansas
. In college, Nikki ran track and cross country and was name an Academic All
American by the Coaches Association. She recently graduated from
Oklahoma
State
University
with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology. Her plans include
returning to school to work on her Masters Degree, but in the meantime she is
taking a well deserved rest! Nikki still enjoys running and is waiting for
her big break!
March – Angye
Tilley – Muscogee Creek, Seminole & Euchee
Angye Tilley is Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, and Euchee. She
is of the Wind Clan, and was born in Okmulgee,
OK
and currently resides in Tulsa,
OK. Angye received her dual bachelors degree in Management and Marketing from the University
of
Oklahoma
in 2004. She is currently working towards her Masters in Business
Administration with an emphasis on economics. Angye is active in the Tulsa Young Professionals
Organization and also lends her time to help coach girls basketball and the
Salvation Army.Angye loves spending
time with her loved ones, learning, playing basketball, working with children,
exercising, traveling, and helping those that need a hand.
April – Gya
Watson – San Carlos Apache Nation
Gya Watson is a member of the San Carlos Apache Nation,
born of the Butterfly people. She has a Bachelor's degree from
Arizona
State
University
in Political Science and is currently working toward a Masters in Mass
Communications. Ultimately she plans to obtain a Doctorate
in Public Policy and work with an international non governmental
organization. Her interests lie in religious studies, politics
& governance and hopes to one day work to affect change in the areas of
indigenous rights as an activist for the protection and preservation of indigenous
lands & indigenous cultural and intellectual property. Gya enjoys
reading, loves music and dance, finds fulfillment in writing and has
a passion for photography. Yoga and meditation are essential parts of her
everyday life and will one day take on the role as teacher of the
physical form, asana. She has recently devoted to taking on another
passion, the art of Capoeira. Gya is a follower of Paramahansa Yogananda and
a student of the Self Realization Fellowship. She also enjoys
biking and running.
May – Nicole
Rodriguez – Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma
Nicole Rodriguez is a member of the Kickapoo
Tribe of Oklahoma. She was born and raised in and around
Shawnee
,
Oklahoma
. Nicole is completing her 3rd year of a 3 year computer graphics
design/e-commerce web programming course at Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech.
Nicole enjoys horseback riding, playing basketball, hanging out with friends and
playing with her puppies. Nicole intends to complete her education in May
of 2006 and start a career in a related field;
she also wants to continue her modeling.
June – Elly
Mossett – Three Affiliated Tribes
Elly Mossett is a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes –
the
Mandan
, Hidatsa and Arikara – on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in
North Dakota
. Elly is looking forward to graduating this year from the University of North
Dakota with a degree in Business Management. During her free time she enjoys the
outdoors, spending time with family and friends, modeling, and of course going
to powwows and eating Indian tacos.
July –Ashley Roberts Kahsaklahwee - Cherokee
Ashley Roberts is a member of the Great Cherokee Nation and was born and raised
in OK, the home of the Cherokee.Her
Indian name is Little Quail Kahsaklahwee.Ashley
graduated Cum Laude from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Business and attended law school at The University of Tulsa and The
University of Oklahoma in the Native Law Program.She is a member of NALSA and Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.For several years, Ashley has been a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for
the state of
Oklahoma
and involved in animal rights issues assisting in passing legislation
pertaining to such issues.Ashley is
currently modeling in LA, Dallas
and New York.Her goal is to dispel Native
American stereotypes and to have Natives viewed as mainstream and less
“novelty.”Ashley can be seen in

August – Bobbi
Dorchester – FortMcDowell Yavapai and Navajo
Bobbi Dorchester is Navajo from Rock Point Arizona, and
Yavapai from Fort McDowell
,
Arizona
and she currently resides in Gilbert,
Arizona. Bobbi enjoys cars, pets, and family. Her future plans include
attending college and her goal is to one day open a motor sports shop.
September –
Ashley Harris – Comanche and Sac & Fox
Ashley Harris is a Comanche and Sac and Fox Indian from Oklahoma
. She is from the Bear Clan and her Indian name is Be-Ash-Shi-Tak which means
“walking down a path.” Ashley currently resides in Lawton,
Oklahoma where she is attending college.
October – Erika Leni Payton –
Meskwaki – Sac & Fox
Erika Payton is Meskwaki – Sac & Fox of the Mississippi
in Iowa
(Bear Clan). She graduated from Oklahoma
State
University
with a Bachelors Degree in Apparel Design and Production and a minor in Apparel
Merchandising. Erika enjoys traveling, pow-wows, water sports, volleyball and
spending time with her husband and new baby son. Her future plans include
opening her own boutique that will feature her own designs and creations.
November – Amanda Robison – Cheyenne and Arapaho
Amanda Robison is a member of the Cheyenne
and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma and was born in
Claremore
,
OK
. She studied under a 4 year Pom Pon Squad scholarship and graduated from The
University of Oklahoma on the Dean's Honor Roll with a BA in Journalism with an
emphasis in Advertising. Amanda was a member of the American Indian Honor
Society and was nominated for the American Advertising Federation's Most
Promising Minority award. Amanda is currently living and working in Tulsa
and would someday like to return to OU graduate school to get a Masters of Arts
in Journalism.
December – Jamie Everett – TurtleMountain Chippewa
Jamie Everett is a member of the Turtle Mountain Chippewa
Tribe of North Dakota. She was born in
Rolla
,
North Dakota
and grew up in
Lewisville
,
Texas
where one of her proudest moments came when she was crowned Homecoming Queen of
her high school. Jamie received a degree in Applied Arts from the Kim Dawson
Actor’s Conservatory in
Dallas
,
Texas
and currently resides in
Los Angeles
,
California
where she is pursuing a modeling and acting career. Since appearing in the 2004
Girls of Rez Dog calendar, Jamie has appeared in Maxim and FHM magazines and
recently appeared as a finalist on the television series “Fight for Fame.”
